We are an Amish-Mennonite family who value
hard work, honesty, and quality.
Our business was founded on these principles in 1978.
Because of our willingness to work hard, we were able involve the whole family and grow the business.
We were family-owned and family-operated from the beginning and still value the personal touch and quality that that brings.
When we build a backyard structure, we take pride in what we are doing and work hard to make a building that is durable yet affordable. We would rather sacrifice quantity for quality than to sell a structure that fails to meet the high expectations of the customer.
WHERE IT ALL STARTED...
Founded by Abner King in 1978, Pequea Storage Sheds was started primarily to manufacture sheds. However, in 1987 gazebos were added to the lineup of structures that they produced. In 2006 Abner's sons Ivan, Steven, and Calvin stepped into ownership. With the many years of experience while growing up around the shop, this change only strengthened the company’s management and quality of products. In 2016, the company launched Lancaster County Backyard as a retail division in order to better serve the end customer.
